Imagine being on a road trip and having your iPhone alert you to nearby places of interest. Looking for a coffee shop or favorite restaurant? As you travel, GPS Alerts will notify you of new locations that meet your search criteria. You will then be presented with options to view those locations on a map, get directions, make a phone call, or view a business' website. If you are planning a trip you can set a future location and have your alert profiles search relative to your future location.
GPS Alerts does not present any advertisements and does not require any kind of external registration. GPS Alerts only emits GPS coordinates and search terms against the directory services it uses.
Tip: Be sure to leave the application on the home screen (first screen shot below) to keep the alerts background process running. The background process pauses while you are creating profiles, reviewing results, or getting directions.

Am I able to input specific coordinates in UTM or Lat/Lon in order to pop an alert?
